    Choosing a Radio Trigger

I am looking to buy some new radio triggers so i can shoot wireless with HSS. I am using a 580EX and a 580 EX II with a Canon 5D and a Canon 30D. I need some feed back on the Radiopoppers vs Pocketwizard. I also have 3 Pocketwizards Plus II's. But i do not want this to influence my decision. I want what works best. Please let me know of your experiences and advice.

    Thanks

You might like to look at the Pixel Knights TR-332. They do HSS seamlessly.

The only catch is that you need to buy the just-released upgrade version 2, which works with both the 5D and the 30D.

My review can be found at http://www.alphapics.co.nz/Pages/Pix...t%20TR-332.pdf

Don, I have PWizards as well but when it comes to TTL with speedlights it is Radiopoppers for me. I have tried both, admittedly only a short trial with the PW units, but I have found the Radiopoppers to be great units. Lots of reasons I like them and to be honest, if I had to say something I don't like about them is that they do tend to eat AAA batteries. I pop in a fresh set for every shoot, but I do that on my 580's too so in the scheme of things it is no big deal, but compared to how infrequently I change my PW Plus batteries it was a new habit I had to get into.

I like my PW Flex/Mini units. I never had a problem with them and never needed the free AC5 shields I was sent.

What speedlites do you use? Over what range do you use them?

Many have found that all but the 480EX II speedlites work very poorly at ranges beyond 30'. There are also many reports of damage to the 580EX series speedlites.

So, is your use, and lack of trouble, typical? Or a result of your specific use case?
