My first try late fall last year.

This was my my first try taking my 580 EXII off camera. Was late in fall around 6:00 in the evening. Not much time. Used my softbox and ended up shooting manual and adjusting the fec because I could not get the ettl to work. I did a bit of processing in cs4 and used topaz adjust and masked it out on the skin and lowered the opacity. Added a grungy border to finish it off

Very Cool! I did some of these this spring during soccer season. I called them "Hero Shots" and the kids loved them. Looking forward to football season to do some more like yours. Very nice work.

    Lee:
I made a border blend in photoshop with a black grunge brush at different opacity with different grunge brushes. You can make it into a mask or save it and use it again. Hope that helps. You can also purchase these at some scrap booking sites for pretty reasonable price.
    Hope this helps.
